Adding a new customer account

Learn how to manually create an account for a new customer.

Breadstack automatically logs information about customers when they provide an email address (either in person at a physical store, or while creating an online store account).

However, you can manually create a new account for a customer in the Customers module. For instructions, check out this video or follow the steps underneath.

  1. Go to Customers > Add New Customer. (Alternatively, click +Add New Customer at the top right of the All Customers page.)
  2. Fill out the customer's information. Note that you won't be able to change the customer's username once the account has been created.
  3. If you want to assign loyalty points to this customer, enter a points value under Starting Points.
  4. Click Save.

You can remove a customer account if needed.

Note: When customers are added manually, they are assigned the "Online Only" customer status by default.
